We offer several open programs with internally developed molds in all shoe sizes – the below open program is an advanced insole – our PL-001 program
Poly Labs Medium Density U-36 Polyurethane Foam
As a medium density viscoelastic foam, U-36 is generally used for protective padding and support pad applications. Typical applications for our U-36 include footwear insoles, wrist rests, helmet pads, or other padding not requiring high tear resistance.
U-36 can be co-molded onto fabric. Likewise, it can be in-mold coated to provide a more durable surface. The physical and mechanical properties for our medium density PU foam are as follows:
Density | 0.3 g/cm³ |
Hardness, Shore OO (10 sec) | 14 – 16 |
Tensile Strength | 69 psi |
Elongation | 183 % |
Die C Tear | 4.1 pli |
Trouser Tear (p/l) | 4.0 |
Compression Set, 50% at 77°F | |
