Integral skin foam offers a more high-density and thicker dense outer skin. However, the underlying foam core is lower density. The hardness of the material can vary depending upon formulation, density and product application.

Viscoelastic Slow Recovery Memory Foam exhibits a slow recovery time back to its original form. Poly Labs has numerous memory foam formulations for various applications. This style foam is utilized in a number of medical padding, general seating and cushioning applications.
Energy Absorbing (EA) Hydrophobic Foams
Poly Labs proprietary Energy Absorbing (EA) Hydrophobic Foam has advanced energy absorbing capabilities while also being hydrophobic. It exhibits low rebound, and low water absorption. Our development team can vary the compression deflection of our EA Hydrophobic Polyurethane foams to meet specific requirement.
Poly Labs manufactures various styles of microcellular foam across a broad range of applications. This style foam is utilized to manufacture furniture and automotive arm rests, building products, recreational padding, recoil pads, head rests, insoles and more.
Poly Labs rigid foam is a low-density highly engineered specialized PU foam. It is typically used in household building and industrial construction insulation panels. Other applications for rigid foam include plant pots, picture frames backing board, electronic enclosures and fire retardant insert liner material (pictured, right).
Poly Labs flexible foams are all designed to meet the exact requirements of our customer’s applications. Typically, flexible foam best serves those applications which require a soft-medium tear, where hardness can easily be varied. One typical application is in foam-rubber sports toys.
Polyurethane foams are utilized in over-the-ear audio equipment and for specialty sound dampening applications. Poly Labs poured polyurethane foam ear cushion designs are utilized by leading audio equipment brands to manufacture headphones (listening only) and headsets (listening, speaking and communicating).
