Poly Labs Injection Molded Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) provide good slip resistance, tear properties, and overall durability. TPR Polymers are lightweight, resilient, as well as chemical and temperature resistant. TPR is often used in footwear products. Poly Labs offers a limitless range of color options with our injection molded thermoplastic rubber.
SBS Type TPR
Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) compounds are formulated using Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) block co-polymers. Poly Labs TPR 254 formulation offers advanced slip resistance with enhanced durability for footwear applications. For Injection Molded Thermoplastic Rubber 254 (TPR 254), the mechanical properties are as follows:
Density | 0.9 to 1.0 g/cm³ |
Hardness, Shore A | 58 (+/- 5) |
Tensile Strength | > 550 psi |
Elongation | > 450 % |
Die C Tear Resistance | > 140 p/i |
Taber Abrasion Resistance | < 800 mg (loss per 1,000 cycles) |
Typical TPR Applications
Polyurethane and Thermoplastics such as TPR are essential to a wide range of consumer goods, industrial products and general purpose molded goods. Thermoplastic Rubber compound is well-known for its resilience, durability and flexibility. Poly Labs injection molded thermoplastic rubber is utilized in the following applications:
- Sporting Goods
- Children’s and Pet’s Toys
