Poly Labs is delighted to announce the recent upgrades and ongoing renovations at our Lewiston, Maine, USA polyurethane lab & facility. As a commitment to our growth and development strategy, we began with making improvements to the interior of our building in early 2021.
Facility Renovations: Conference Room & Office Area
The first course of action was to renovate some of the employee common areas and gathering spaces. We started off with revamping the conference room, giving it a fresh paint job. We also added the Poly Labs logo graphics. The Poly Labs conference room offers new flooring and furnishings, and a new feel with the updated Poly Labs logo wrap.
Renovations: Employee Break Room & Marketplace
Next, the employee break room renovation was underway. The newly improved common area for employees offers new seating areas and flooring, making for a more comfortable break room experience. In addition, we had new windows and blinds installed. Along with the renovations, we updated some of the entertainment features with a television monitor. We created a new employee marketplace, with more current vending machines, and a state-of-the-art, large scale coffee and beverage machine.
During the course of this renovation, we also restored the restrooms with new fixtures, flooring, and paint.
Facility Driveway, Parking Lot & Perimeter Renovations
Lastly, and perhaps the most important renovation of all – the outside of the building received completely new pavement. The entire circumference of the facility was resurfaced, repaved, and levelled. This includes shipping and receiving areas, employee parking lots, and the driveway entry.
During Renovations After Renovations During Renovations After Renovations
Previously in 2021, we had new signs made for the Forrestal Street main entrance, as well as the office entrance. With all the new facility upgrades and renovations in place, we welcome our clients to book a visit to Maine and tour the 88,000 square foot manufacturing and laboratory space!
We want to give a special thanks to our facilities manager, Tony Delcourt, for his dedication during these projects. We also want to thank our subcontractors, as well as our employees for their patience and adaptability during the renovations.
Overall, the team is very pleased with the facility renovations at Poly Labs. We are confident these improvements will contribute to advance us in our journey as a North American leader in Polyurethane, TPE, TPU & TPR solutions.
As 2021 continues on, we plan to carry on with more facility renovations. More exciting news ahead – stay tuned!
